How it works

Pixels above the threshold are mapped from SDR reference white (203 nits) up to your chosen peak, converted to BT.2020 primaries, PQ-encoded (SMPTE 2084) with Floyd–Steinberg dithering, and written as a JPEG with an embedded Rec.2100 PQ ICC profile generated from macOS ColorSync.
